Artist Lorraine Ficara to Demo Water Color and Ink Techniques on Gesso at September 13th Meeting

The Newington Art League will conduct its general membership meeting on Wednesday Sept. 13, at 6:30 PM, in the Ceramics Room at the Newington Senior and Disabled Center.  Address is 120 Cedar St, Newington, CT 06111. Following this short meeting artist Lorraine Ficara will conduct a demonstration on “Water Color and Ink Techniques on Gesso”.   The meeting and demonstration are free and open to the public

Ficara, an award-winning local artist teaches at Wethersfield Art League, and is an Associate member of the Lyme Art Association.  She is also a member of the Connecticut Watercolor Society and local art Art Leagues located in Newington, Marlborough, and Wethersfield.  Ficara has previously demonstrated in Plainville and Avon.  Her paintings reflect her travels and love of water. The impressionist style interprets how she feels the surroundings and how the light is captured. She creates with all mediums but knife painting with oils is her favorite. Lorraine loves learning and sharing with other artists and the community
