Newington Art League to Host Artist Christine Sniadach Demonstration on April 12th

The Newington Art League will conduct its general membership meeting on Wednesday April 12th at 6:30 PM, in the Ceramics Room at the Newington Senior and Disabled Center. Address is 120 Cedar St, Newington, CT 06111.
Following this short meeting Christine Sniadach will conduct an acrylic painting demonstration. The meeting and demonstration are free and open to the public.
Christine has experience in several mediums including watercolor, acrylics, pen & ink, and water-soluble oils. Her favorite medium is watercolor. Sniadach says it is because she loves the natural way that it performs within wet into wet, dry brush and other methods. While it is a challenging medium, it can produce lovely effects in a painting.
Acrylic is also a wonderful medium that can be used to create a variety of paintings. It dries quickly and colors can be layered, and it provides easy cleanup. It is a fairly inexpensive product and readily available at many stores.

Sniadach has taken many classes with Master artists and is an active artist member of Arts Center East in Vernon and the New England Watercolor Society. She has won several awards for her paintings.
An artist member of the Arts Center East (ACE)for the past 8 years, where Sniadach teaches a bimonthly class in acrylics called Creative Acrylics. In this class she selects and designs interesting subjects to create the curriculum to explain color mixing and techniques.
Sniadach is a former IT Manager with a passion for the arts. Growing up in the Berkshires, she likes to travel throughout New England because there are so many opportunities for paintings, various subjects and landscapes. Painting is all about the light source, painting what you feel, and not worrying too much about the smaller details. Always leave some things to the viewer’s imagination.
