Beginning on March 14th our regular meetings will be held at the Newington Senior and Disabled Center in the Ceramics room. We must be out of the Center by 8:50 pm. The Newington Art League Board has therefore voted to change the start time of our regular meetings to 6:30 pm rather than 6:45. This should allow us time to conduct our business meeting, give our demonstrator an more than an hour and still have time to clean up and be out of the room by 8:50.
As of March 2012, the Newington Art League meetings and demonstrations will take place in the Ceramics Room at the Joseph P Doyle Community Center (Newington Senior and Disabled Center) at 120 Cedar St, Newington, CT. The meetings will begin at 6:45 pm and be followed by an artist’s demonstration. The Board decided to secure this room for the annual fee for non-profits of $60.00. This will enable those members who struggle with the stairs to be able to attend the meetings and see the monthly demonstrations. Newington Art League members will need to set up the room and provide easels for the demonstrators as well as refreshment necessities. We must also vacate the building by 8:50 pm.
The Monday morning and Tuesday evening workshops, Board meetings and other Art League events will still be held in the Newington Art league space at 131 Cedar St..
