Leslie Civitello at Hillstead Museum

Newington Art League member and newly elected Vice-President had her painting accepted into the first annual juried art show at the Hill-stead Museum in Farmington, CT.


About the Exhibition

The Hill-Stead Museum held its first Annual Juried Members Exhibition which is intended to connect present day artists with the Museum’s natural beauty and collection masterworks. The Hill-Stead has 152 acres of grounds include gardens, meadows, trails, sweeping vistas and pastures filled with sheep and freshly-made haystacks. The call went out to all artists who are inspired by nature and light to submit their work to this juried show. The exhibition “Modern Day Monet” has been extended through Sunday, June 30.  It features over 60 artworks from national and international artists. The artworks on view were selected by William O’Reilly, president of Argonaut Fine Art.
