The water in the house has been shut off until the situation is resolved, so the Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon painting workshops are cancelled until further notice.

Ms. Zisk will give a critique of members art work as well as a demonstration of landscape painting in oil. Jane Zisk is the Founder of the Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society. Jane was inspired by the American artists who were painting in Cos Cob, Branchville and Old Lyme in the late 1800’s and decided to carry on the plein air tradition made popular by J. Alden Weir, Childe Hassam, and others. Jane, who has been an artist for over 30 years, has also worked as a framer for many years at Hartford Framing in East Hartford, CT. All art whether it is representational or abstract is a spiritual path to Ms. Zisk. Having overcome a chronic illness Jane sees her art as a healing experience.
